Dave and Daragh have a brazen belief in Irish food and home cooked dinners.
Although we are both passionate about food, especially Dave for Jamie Oliver recipes, we’re not chefs by trade. Daragh worked in stocks of a different kind, the financial markets, for four years after college and Dave in both IT and also property with a well known major retailer.
From the beginning, we had core beliefs which some people thought were mad. We wanted to use 100% natural ingredients that’s low in salt & fat and without adding any additives, colourings or preservatives. NO stuff you can’t even pronounce!
So we went to our local butcher Conor, Smithfield Markets for some veg and raided the herb garden.
Dave made a real homemade stock by boiling, braising and simmering it down just like his dad had shown him. He protects his stock like a precious commodity does Dave Lombard Senior!
We use it for tasty soups, sauces, stews, gravies, casseroles and risottos to name a few…
Pure Brazen was born at the end of 2011 and we started trading January 2012.
